Remote Sync compatibility entry

Use the authoritative Headless runbooks

Obsidian Headless can project a vault through Sync on a server without desktop Obsidian. This compatibility page intentionally does not duplicate setup or mutation instructions.

Choose the authoritative workflow:

• Server and agent projection for least-privilege servers and supervised agents.
• Backup projection for recoverable backups and convergence receipts.
• Shared-team projection for named writer/reader roles.
• Scheduled automation for approved scheduled Sync or Publish.
• Recovery and Headless troubleshooting for incidents.

Before any setup or continuous Sync: require Node.js 22+, an approved account alias and entitlement, a recoverable backup, one Sync method per device, exact scope approval, source/destination status, second-device exact content/hash readback, conflict/deletion checks, supervision, and a rollback owner.

Headless is a transport or projection, not Agent HQ, an accepted Score, or trusted-wiki Gold. Never copy a live writable SQLite database between devices.
